Patricia Martins

Patricia is a psychologist and psychotherapist with over 10 years experience in Australia and overseas.

She graduated in Brazil in 2011 and has been working in the mental health field since then. Patricia has been running her clinic, Talking Works, in Melbourne since 2015, mostly working with immigrants who are adjusting to the challenges that often emerge when moving countries. She has a special interest in working with emotional distress and anxiety.


Patricia vast knowledge within the psychology field allows her to adjust the technique she will use accordingly to the client she is seeing. She can utilise psychodynamic approaches, such as Analytical (Jungian) Psychology and ISTDP (Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Therapy), to evidence-based techniques, such as Schema Therapy.

As Jungian psychologist, Patricia believes in astrology as a tool for self-development and have been study the subject for a long time. She offers psychoastrology sessions (not covered by Medicare) by those interested.

Patricia is open to supervision of counsellors with interest in psychodynamic approaches.
